The Gourmet

I'm drawn by the flavour and delicate glaze,
I smell it, enjoy it, and appraise,
I am addicted to heavenly chocolate pleasure,
to praline, nut and nougat treasure.
But there is no happy end for my dream,
whether cocoa butter, crisp or cream,
I love it all, but I'll put it aside,
because it's so hard to decide.

In a nice cafe in the shopping mall,
I ask myself whether it is worth at all,
to look at the women, whether dark or fair,  
athletic, charming and handsome with glare,
whether large or small and intelligent
whether slim, successful and always present.
For women it's different: I can decide
that I want to stay by your side.
